Likewise, the senior women retain top position in their UK National Premier League and are well set to win an unprecedented eleventh Premier League title in twelve years! The third match in the North of England Premier League also saw Sale, who train in Wythenshawe Park, retain top position just ahead of Blackburn AC who have won the league title for the past couple of years.
In the English Schools Championships, known as the ‘Kid’s Olympics’, an amazing six Sale Harriers won National titles. George Caddick took the senior 400m gold medal; Clovis Asong gained intermediate 400m gold with Danny Heald runner-up; Roy Ejiakuekwu won the intermediate 200m; Ahtollah Rose the senior triple jump; Abi Fitzpatrick the senior 400m hurdles gold and thirteen year old Amy Williams produced a phenomenal long-jump to win the junior girl's gold medal. On the same weekend, Lloyd Robbins also won double gold for Long Jump & Triple jump at the Welsh Championships. Most of these along with Chloe Jones and Ellin Jones are selected to represent England in the Home International later in the summer.
Clovis Asong has also been selected to represent GB in Turkey at the Youth Olympics and he and George Caddick will represent England at the Youth Commonwealth Games in September on the Isle of Man.
Congratulations also to George Caddick, (4 x 400m relay); Aligail Fitzpatrick (400m Hurdles) Ahtollah Rose, (triple jump) and Katie Byres (pole vault) who’ve been selected to represent GB & NI at the European Junior Championships in Tallinn (Estonia).

Not only did Julien Rafelli witness Katie vault to an age 17 UK record and new lifetime best at a recent International in Germany, but his other protégé Holly Bleasdale achieved a new UK record at the same meeting and was then selected as the UK Team Coach for the pole vault at the Euro U23Championships in Ostrava.
The club has retained the NW title of the National Young Athlete League over rivals Liverpool Harriers & AC. As a result, the club’s young athletes compete for the Northern Title on home-territory, Sportcity next Sunday (17th July) against the North's top teams.
