Willow Park Housing Trust has donated £750 to Wythenshawe Warriors Freestyle martial arts club to help them take a team out to the 2011 World Karate Championships in Cadiz, Spain. The club meets at St Martins church on Bowland Road. Coach (Sensei) Lee Allen came into the Trust to accept the donation with some of the team members and said: “Last year Willow Park helped to fund our trip to the World championships in Portugal.

We did really well with three of our students gaining 3rd places – Vicky Sullivan (18); Rebecca Jones (13) and Katie Jones (10). This year we are taking 7 team members to Cadiz in Spain to represent Team England and are very grateful to Willow Park for all their support.”
