The trip was organised as a PE taster session and aimed to take the pupils out of their comfort zone giving them the experience of a totally different activity. The pupils reacted positively to the experience and put a great deal of effort into the canoeing.
“The session at Debdale Water Park was a challenging, rewarding and exciting experience,” explained PE teacher Mike Whiteside, “It fostered good team building and positive attitudes and gave the pupils a sense of personal achievement.”
“I was pleased to see how well the pupils responded to being outside their comfort zone, an experience like this adds a whole new dimension to their learning,” commented St Pauls Headtacher Wiktor Daron.
