Four members of the Slimming World group who meet on Mondays (7pm) at St Andrews Church, Brownley Road, Wythenshawe, were selected as finalists in their annual challenge.

Anne Marie Morton, who shed 4st 6.5lbs since July 2010, was voted ‘Woman of The Year’ by fellow members.

Between them, Ann Glynn, Rachel Hancock and Nicky Taylor and Anne Marie lost 19 stones.

Consultant Paula Baker said, “I am very proud to have taken part in their journeys with Slimming World.

It is a fantastic plan with so much free food available, We have Healthy extras to include fibre & Calcium and syns for the treats that we all need from time to time.

It is even healthy enough for young people from 11 to 15 attending free with a parent member.”
